Which treatments will make me look my best before an event?
It really depends on what you want to achieve and what are your concerns. How long before an event should I get treatment?
Anti-wrinkle injections (Botox): When having this treatment, it is important to remember that it takes up to 14 days for maximum results to be achieved and it may be recommended that you come back to clinic for a quick treatment review after this time, so allow 3-4 days for full effect. Dermal fillers: There is always a risk of bruising and swelling with dermal filler treatment and therefore it is important to ensure there is enough recovery time before an important event. We recommend allowing 4 weeks again. It is also important that you are able to return to clinic in the unlikely event of a complication in the few days after treatment. Skin treatments such as peels, microneedling, WOW fusion®: The skin is rejuvenating for the next 1 – 2 weeks and there can be some redness and skin dryness for a few days, so you want to be pass this stage to have the best skin for an event. Profhilo: The effects are at their optimum about 4 weeks after the 2nd treatment so you need to plan in advance and seek a consultation/1st treatment at least 8 weeks before your special event.
How can I look after my skin after treatment and before the event?
Keep hydrated – this will keep your skin in great condition and improve the results of those hydrating treatments like Profhilo and fillers. Wear an SPF 50 – You don’t want to undo all the good work of the skin treatments by exposing the skin to sun damage. Medical grade skin care – the perfect partner to in-clinic treatments and injectables. Cut down on the alcohol and smoking and get plenty of sleep for that perfect glow on the special day.
