At Nuvo Aesthetics, these treatments use an active ingredient called deoxycholic acid, which targets the membranes of fat cells. Once targeted, the fat cells are destroyed, broken down, and absorbed by the body, resulting in a reduction in stubborn fat. When combined with a healthy lifestyle and weight loss efforts, the results of these treatments can be long-lasting, and even permanent.
During the procedure, our experienced nurse prescriber will administer a series of injections to the target areas of the body. The procedure typically takes about 30 minutes to complete and may also support the lymphatic system in removing broken-down fat.

This fat dissolving injection treatment is suitable for those at a healthy weight or slightly overweight who want to address stubborn fat deposits around the face or body. it is not intended as a weight loss solution, but it can support overall contouring goals.
A consultation is required prior to treatment, and we will also explain any potential side effects at this stage.
For optimal results, a course of 2–4 treatments is recommended at four-week intervals. Some patients may see subtle improvements after 1–2 treatments. The number of sessions needed will be discussed during your consultation and depends on the volume of fat being treated. This may vary depending on the areas of the body you wish to target.
Once the targeted fat cell are destroyed, you can expect to see improved contouring and definition in the treated area. The slimming effect will become more noticeable over time, with full results typically visible after about four weeks as your body absorbs the treated fat cells. In some cases, skin tightening benefits may also be seen as the body adjusts to the reduced fat volume. This gradual improvement is one of the ways dissolving injections work to refine your shape.
This fat loss treatment requires minimal downtime. Mild bruising or swelling may occur at the injection site and generally subsides within a few days.
